WRRC selects Marine Biological Lab for its FY18 WRIP program

Nitrogen high water

The selected project is entitled "Forest land cover as a tool in water quality management: Developing a valuable addition to the Cape Cod Commission's 208 Technologies Matrix" and was submitted by Ivan Valiela and Javier Lloret of the Marine Biological Laboratory. Assuming that the WRIP program is funded by USGS as in previous years, MBL will receive a one-year grant of $55,00 to quantify the potential of forested land management to reduce Nitrogen loads to fresh- and Nitrogen-sensitive coastal waters.
