This year’s conference highlighted interactions in water resources, including science, policy, management, and design. Of particular interest was the impact of hydrologic uncertainty due to global change on ecological support functions, water availability and quality for human consumption, natural disaster occurrence, infrastructure sizing and hydrologic processes. The conference provided an interdisciplinary forum for scientists, practitioners, and policy makers to discuss current critical water research; fostered greater collaboration among scientists and practitioners; and strengthened the connection between research, extension, and policy.
