This one-day workshop will equip participants to implement successful green infrastructure (GI) programs and practices in their communities. Planned sessions include generating buy-in for your GI program, GI and the regulatory framework, technologies that work in New England’s unique context, and financing strategies. The event will also feature successful and innovative green infrastructure case studies from around New England, as well as Q&A and networking opportunities.
Participants will:
- Learn regulatory, technical, outreach, and financial strategies that will help overcome challenges to implementing a successful GI program, specific to New England
- Be inspired by and get new ideas from case studies in the region
- Have opportunities to learn from each other’s experiences
Who should attend: Open by invitation only, this event is designed for New England municipalities implementing or considering a green infrastructure program to reach their stormwater management and/or water quality improvement goals. It will also be relevant to regional planning entities and state agencies whose constituent municipalities are considering green infrastructure approaches.
