This Circular presents a vision for the U.S. Geological Survey Water Resources Research Act (WRRA) Program for the next 10 years (2020-30).

The Massachusetts Water Resources Research Center was created at UMass Amherst as a result of the Water Resources Research Act of 1964 to (1) plan, facilitate, and conduct research to aid in the resolution of State and regional water problems; (2) promote technology transfer and the dissemination and application of research results; (3) provide for the training of scientists and engineers through their partici[ation in research; and (4) provide for competitive grants to be awarded under the WRRA.

We encourage applicants to our grant programs to read this circular and taylor their projects to one of the 122 opportunities and strategies listed in support of the vision focus areas.
