WRRC selects LARP student to attend WSI Conference

WRRC is a member of the Universities Council on Water Resources. In partnership with UCOWR, the Southern Nevada Water Authority promotes their conference, the WaterSmart Innovations (WSI) Conference to graduate students in UCOWR member institution.

The October 3-5, 2018 conference in Las Vegas was seeking graduate students with research, experience, or interest in the areas of water demand management, water supply, and water conservation. WRRC was identified as having strengths in one or more of these areas, and we were invited to send one graduate student to attend and present a poster at the conference on a full scholarship.

We selected Sara Rose Lawler, a Master’s in Landscape Architecture 3rd year student studying water quality and water systems in urban/suburban areas. Congratulations Sara, make UMass proud!
